Uni-Life Crisis

Maybe a little over-exaggerated? Perhaps! However, I'm feeling very stressed & losing motivation by the day...

I need to find a 12 month placement starting summer otherwise life is going to be SH!?""T and I won't be able to pay my rent... not an ideal situation. Everyone keeps reassuring me that everything will be ok, but after a few rounds of rejection already, it's not that easy to believe so! My hunt continues. Whilst this hunt goes on, my house mates keep coming to me for Application Form advice... ME?! Well, obviously I'm doing something right :-)

On a more positive note (hallelujah!) I just have to confess my love for Lindsey Kelk. After reading I Heart New York, she had me hooked. I have read the entire series to date, and upon finishing I Heart Vegas I was a tear-some wreck! I hear I Heart London is soon approaching...HURRY UP KELK!

So, I'm currently looking at booking an incredible 5* All Inclusive Greek vacation for June (yes, rent, bla bla...what's a girl to do?!) and I'm super excited. The hotel looks incredible & I shall be waltzing round feeling like a billion dollars the whole time I'm there. I'm going with the boyfriend, so I'm definitely exercising already to ensure I have THE perfect bikini bod. A) I don't want to fuel an excuse to look at other semi naked girls B) I don't want people to think O M G what is HE doing with HER! So, yeah, exercise and diet isn't going too badly at all (she says whilst currently munching on crisps), I'll keep you updated.

Well, 13 days into 2012 I think it's time to reflect on how my resolutions are going and set myself some targets...

Already I've met the one and only RICHARD BRANSON (yes, I'm a business geek so it means a lot...), I have started reading a lot more (and got a tweet from Lindsey Kelk!!!!) and I am now a freelance dance/fitness instructor.

All in all, I'd say things are going quite well. I'm currently cutting down and trying to trim up my figure, along with the rest of my housemates - it's actually quite fun :-)

My target for this year is to find a 12 month placement that I enjoy, and overall be happy! I should probably learn to relax a bit more, but hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

To die for?!

OK, perhaps an exaggeration but I have stumbled across the most incredible website!

It's January: exam time, placement applying time - basically procrastination time. It is at this time that  I find myself doing almost everything except what I should be doing. Hence writing a blog.

After watching New Girl (what? I was taking a 30 minute break...), I am already addicted. Geeky but sexy Zooey Deschanel fits the role perfectly and makes it unmissable and laugh-out-loud hilarious. I tracked her down on Twitter and found she co set-up this website:

It is truly all a girl ever needs. I haven't finished my way through it yet as there is a LOT of content. It is written by lots of different authors so if you fancy yourself as a writer go ahead!

I love anything they do, so perhaps I'm biased.

Let's get down to business!

Hello world,

After much deliberation (a simple choice between this or revision...) I have decided to start a blog. I’m at a pretty interesting stage in my life, so why not? I always have plenty to say, I’m a beauty product junkie and there’s a lot going on for me right now... surely I make the ideal blogger? Let’s just hope I keep up with it! Anyway, subscribe to me and help me along my way. I’d love to hear from some of you too and I’d love other blog suggestions!

Today has been a pretty good day... I think!

So me and my boyfriend of 2.5 years have decided to get a flat together (renting of course!)... Ok, ok, I know I’m only 20 and yes I am absolutely terrified BUT why not ey? In the words of Hilary Duff in A Cinderella Story, ‘never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game!’ – I’m aware I’m doing the complete opposite of playing the game, but you get me! We found the most PERFECT flat after 6 attempts and decided on the spot that we would like to sign the contract, only to be told that the previous tenant hasn’t decided whether she wants to keep the place. Great. So, I’m currently waiting on the phone call to let me know whether dream palace shall be ours! It’s over-budget but we’ve chosen an exceptionally nice area so quite understandable – let’s hope I get the job I’m after...

Only weeks ago I had my dreams of a move to London for an incredible job shattered. I got right to the final stage only to be told I’m too much of a ‘leader’, so I’m now staying put and hoping (praying) something else comes along. I dream of opening my own spa, boutique and much more one day, but for now I need a steady placement!
